Do you deliver, set up and collect?
Yes. Every hire includes delivery, positioning, plugging in (extension lead and lock supplied) and collection at the end.
What power does a cool room need?
Standard 10-amp single-phase power, from a normal power point. We supply the lead.
How long can I hire for?
Anything from a weekend to ongoing long-term commercial hire on a simple monthly invoice.
Do you offer emergency or after-hours hire?
Yes. If a fridge or freezer room goes down, we can deliver emergency cold storage 24/7.
Which size do I need?
Tell us about the job and we'll recommend a size. You can also see full dimensions on our sizes page.
Do you service my suburb?
We deliver across Melbourne. Ask us about your suburb and we'll confirm.
Are the units clean and food-safe?
Yes. Every unit is cleaned and checked before it goes out.
How do I get a price?
Request a quote or call us. We quote per job so you get the right price for what you need.
How much fits inside each cool room?
The 6x4 suits a small backyard party's worth of drinks and food. The 8x5 is around 70% larger and suits weddings and functions. The 9x5 is our largest for big events and commercial overflow. Tell us what you're storing and we'll match a size.
How long does setup take?
Usually just a few minutes on site. We position the unit, plug it in with the supplied lead, and make sure it's running to temperature before we leave.
What access do you need for delivery?
The units are trailer-mounted and towed in, so we need clear vehicle access to where the unit will sit. Let us know about narrow driveways, gates, stairs or height limits and we'll plan for it.
What areas do you deliver to?
We cover metropolitan Melbourne, with strong coverage of the south-east and inner-east suburbs. Delivery depends on distance, so ask us for your location.
Is there a minimum hire period?
Short-term hire typically starts at a weekend. Long-term and commercial hire runs on a simple monthly invoice.
Do the units run overnight?
Yes. They run continuously on standard power to hold temperature, and are designed to run quietly 24/7 through your event or hire.
Can I hire a freezer instead of a cool room?
Yes. We hire mobile freezer rooms down to -20C, plus chest freezers and large eskies, ideal for frozen stock, ice or an emergency freezer breakdown.
What is included with each cool room?
Every cool room comes with a 25 metre extension lead, padlock, drawbar lock and wheel clamps. The lead locks into the unit so the power cannot be pulled out by accident.
Is a coolroom the same as a cool room?
Yes. Coolroom and cool room are just two spellings of the same thing. We hire mobile coolrooms and freezer rooms across Melbourne, delivered, set up and collected.
Do you hire blast chillers or industrial chillers?
No. We hire mobile coolrooms and freezer rooms, which are walk-in cold storage units on a trailer that we deliver to your site. A blast chiller is commercial kitchen equipment for rapidly cooling cooked food, and an industrial chiller is process cooling plant. If you need walk-in cold storage delivered to you, that is what we do.
